Router: LAN Port vs WAN Port

Most of the routers or wifi routers in market has a WAN Port and LAN Port, but what is the purpose of those ports?

Router is a networking device that allows multiple computers to join the same network. Router has its own web interface management for DHCP, Firewall, Routing, and etc. I’ll be writing another post explaining router further.

WAN stands for Wide Area Network and LAN stands for Local Area Network. WAN Port of the Router should be connected to the ISP Modem/Broadband, and LAN Ports should be connected to the Computer, Laptops or Switches.

I have Huawei-B525 act as the Modem (Source of Internet) and i have Router (Tenda AC7).
